Ben’s Friends is a coalition of sober F&B people committed to their sobriety in an industry filled with drugs, alcohol, and stress. Each member has found or is seeking sobriety and a way to deal with their careers and life in a sane and purposeful fashion. As a community, they want to share together how they do it and provide those seeking sobriety with the tools and the community needed to find it. Their only purpose is to help each other find freedom from the bondage of addiction. Meetings are held every Sunday at 12pm at Monnik Beer Company.
The Healing Place provides food, shelter, clothing, and their nationally-recognized recovery program to nearly 1,000 men and women at no cost. All a person has to have is a desire to get sober. They want there to be no barriers to recovery. The mission of The Healing Place is to reach individuals suffering from drug and alcohol addiction, provide the tools for recovery, and restore meaningful and productive lives.
Louisville Alcoholics Anonymous is a fellowship of people who share their experience, strength and hope with each other that they may solve their common problem and help others to recover from alcoholism. The only requirement for AA membership is a desire to stop drinking. There are no dues or fees for AA membership; they are self-supporting through their own contributions. AA is not allied with any sect, denomination, politics, organization or institution; does not wish to engage in any controversy; neither endorses nor opposes any causes. Their primary purpose is to stay sober and help other alcoholics achieve sobriety.
Apron, Inc.’s mission of is to provide temporary, limited financial relief to professional food and beverage workers in the Louisville, KY metro area who work at locally-owned establishments and who are experiencing financial distress due to illness, accident, emergency, or catastrophic event through no fault of their own.
